Ollie, the founder of Locate Retail, has just finished BarbersRide 2022, a fundraising motorcycle ride around the south coast of the UK to raise awareness and funds for Make-A-Wish.
BarbersRide was started by a bunch of biking barbers and industry guys who wanted to combine their love of biking and barbering with a fundraising charity event. In August 2017, the first event kicked off, riding from Dundee to London over 5 days and was a roaring success, raising over £10,000. Since then, every year has got bigger and better!
To date, BarbersRide has raised over £110,000 with 100% of the funds going to charity. The crew involved in the smooth runnng of the ride generously donate their time free of charge.
2022 (the ride's 6th year) saw around 35 bikers enjoy the ride of their lives, making great new friendships along the journey and raising much needed funds for children with debilitating illnesses. This was the BIGGEST YEAR to date with regards to riders and the event raised over £27,000.
Locate Retail has several connections with companies which support the BarbersRide and when he was invited to take part, Ollie jumped at the chance. Of course, if you've met Ollie, you'll know he's rather keen on motorbikes and needs little excuse to go for a ride, let alone support the amazing work done by Make-A-Wish.
